BioMate Carbon Filled Media Balls utilize innovative media-in-media design to do the job of two filter media. Perfect when space is limited. Outer shell provides site for beneficial bacteria, and internal media provide additional mechanical, chemical, or biological filtration. These balls are filled with quality activated carbon for optimal removal of dissolved organic waste materials. Large pellet size won't compact or restrict water flow for efficient chemical filtration. Also removes colors, odors and pollutants to keep fish healthy. The high absorption capacity is achieved by a wide range and quantity of internal pore sizes.

To replace carbon filter media, simply pop open Biomate ball and re-fill with fresh activated carbon.
