Lake rakes are very useful tools if you have a pond in your yard. You know how debris and weeds can “clutter” the surface of your pond. Nobody wants to have such “pond scum.” Lake rakes can help you clear away that debris and make your lake look beautiful again.

If you have a large pond or lake to rake, you are likely going to want to make sure that your rake comes with an extension. If you already have a lake rake but have found it is not quite long enough, you can take a basic broom and duct tape your rake to it so that about half of each overlap (for best stability). As a warning, though, extending such a equipment out over your water can be very tiring.

If you have a truly large body of water, look for a rake that comes with at least 100 feet of rope.

On of the essential kinds of lake equipment are lake rakes—high quality ones are very effective when you are cleaning out your lake. Most importantly, you want a one that will truly help maintain the good, healthy condition in which your lake should be.

Use a rake that will help you remove weeds in the shortest amount of time possible. Look for one that can both sink to the bottom to remove weeds or float on the surface to remove algae mats and weed fragments.
