You know that accessories can make the outfit, right? Well, the same is true of pond accessories. The right pond accessories can really make your pond -- they can improve the style and function of your pond. They can make your pond the place that you want to come home to after a long day of work.

They can make your pond more beautiful and/or more healthy, depending on which type of accessories you purchase.

You can even make your own pond accessories. You can take a favorite (and large) pitcher or sculpture and attach a pump through it to make a small fountain or spitter. You can create a sculpture out of pots and pans, broken ceramics, or other things that you may find laying around the house. If you are so inclined, you could even place a toilet in the middle of your pond, attach a pump to it, and have it continually overflowing.

When creating your own pond accessories, do not be afraid to be creative. If you end up not liking what you make, you can always make something else (if you are truly using items from around the house, you will not have lost any money in your endeavors, and items like pond pumps can be reused).
