Many
pond owners have found pond
water clarifiers to be most helpful in clearing up water.
And who does not want clear water? Who wants their view of their fish
to be obscured by algae and other cloudy problems that lurk in ponds?
Cloudy water can, fortunately, be cleared by a variety
of different pond water clarifiers. One common method of these clarifiers
is to clump small particles of dirt, bacteria, etc. together (flocculates).
Once the clumps are large enough, you can vacuum them out, or they
can be filtered out.
Other pond water clarifiers use beneficial bacteria
to break down algae and increase dissolved oxygen.
Note: remember that clear water does not necessarily
mean you have a healthy pond. You should be sure to run tests and
check on your fish regularly to ensure that your pond is functioning
healthily and properly.
Shimmering water, (transparent rather than murky) adds
to the beautiful ambiance and appearance of your pond. In addition,
the cleaner the water in your pond creates a healthful environment
for both fish and plants – and that should be the goal of every
pond keeper.
