A
water
fountain can really add add a lot of beauty and dimension
to your home or garden. However, to keep it as beautiful as possible,
you need to take good care of it.
Never put foreign substances or objects into your fountain.
Doing so could damage your pump and/or clog the pipes. You may think
that it would be neat to have bubble bath pouring over the edge of
your fountain, but is it worth ruining your fountain?
Cover your pump with sheer pantyhose. Doing so will
help you keep debris out of your pump. Make sure that you put clean
pantyhose on the pump once the first pair gets clogged up.
Make sure you have the right amount of water in the
water fountain. If your water is higher than at least 1/2 inch below
the lip of the basin, you may end up with splashing. If the water
is too low, though, the pump will not work properly.
A water fountain can be so soothing, and have such a
calming effect on you that you may find yourself counting the minutes
when you are away from home until you can return to relax and unwind
next to your fountain.
